Gear and Abilities

  • Artificer Knowledge: Flux can identify magical and technological items with a +5 bonus (Tech Flavor: Quantum Scanner).
  • Disable Trap: Flux can use Search and Disable Device to find and disarm magical traps as a rogue, with a +5 bonus at 3rd level (Tech Flavor: Arcano-Sensor Array).
  • Item Creation: Flux can create magical items, substituting spells with Use Magic Device (see tables below) (Tech Flavor: Arcano-Fabricator).
  • Craft Homunculus: Flux can create homunculi, small constructs with unique abilities, at 4th level (Tech Flavor: Micro-Construct Assembler).
  • Retain Essence: Flux can extract magical essence from items to reuse in crafting, preserving 50% of the item’s XP value at 5th level (Tech Flavor: Essence Extractor).

Item Creation Feat Progression: Flux gains the following feats at higher levels: 3rd - Craft Wondrous Item, 4th - Craft Homunculus, 5th - Craft Magic Arms and Armor, 6th - Craft Wand, 9th - Craft Rod, 12th - Craft Staff, 14th - Forge Ring.

  • Cybernetic Left Arm: A cybernetic prosthetic arm capable of an arcane blast (1d12+2 force damage, 60-ft. range) or arcane shield (absorbs 1d12+2 damage), can store one infusion, upgradeable (Tech Flavor: Arcane Cybernetic Matrix).
  • Shadow Systems MR920 Elite Pistol: A compact 9mm pistol with a holographic sight, optimized for close-quarters combat (Tech Flavor: Holo-Targeting System).
